This is the biggest opportunity to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) in the US, as power plants are responsible for 40% of US GHG emissions. President Obama has asked the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to develop regulations for both new and existing power plants. In response, the EPA is organizing an 11-city "listening tour" to listen to public comments, and also will be accepting comments by mail. The San Francisco session is on Nov. 5. Let's have a big showing from Silicon Valley! No need to attend the whole day (it's 9-4pm), you can speak or just be present to show your support for these regulations.
