Sat., January 25 — 9:30 am to 2:00 pm (come at 9:15am for registration & coffee)
UU Fellowship of Redwood City
2124 Brewster Avenue (corner of Lowell), Redwood City
As climate scientist Dr. Katherine Hayhoe said in a terrific TED talk “The most important thing you can do about climate change is talk about it,” so we’ll start off in small group discussions to share our personal response to this global challenge — then get inspired by some “good news” created by collective action. We’ll hold conversations with others to explore various perspectives — and learn about a variety of ways to get involved — from making changes in our own homes, to local community action groups, to larger organizational efforts, and citizen engagement at state and Federal levels.
The workshop is free (lunch included!), but we need to know how many people to plan for, so please register here: https://tinyurl.com/Avenues4ClimateAction
Hope you can join us for a thought-provoking — and inspiring — time!
